Frequently Asked Questions

We are here to help you with your journey and to help you with any questions you may have.

The duration of semaglutide treatment for weight loss will depend on your individual needs and goals. Patients generally see positive results after three months. Many patients will take medications for one year or longer to maintain their results. It is also important to keep in mind that patients with less weight to lose, or who are more disciplined about combining semaglutide with a healthy diet and exercise may reach their target weight even sooner!

Most patients who take Semaglutide find that they do not need additional weight management meds.
However, semaglutide should not be used in combination with other GLP-1 receptor agonists or medications that increase GLP-1 receptor activity. It may be used in combination with other weight loss medications, but the safety and efficacy of such combinations have not been studied and are not recommended by our clinic at this time.
Any additional weight loss medications you wish to take at the same time as semaglutide should be discussed with our physician.
